Andrew Scott

My name is Andrew Scott. I originally worked in the technology sector for two decades as well as worked in my spare time with dogs. I am now a full time head writer with K9Gadget.

Wondering who created this site? Well, first off a big welcome! I’m Andrew Scott and I’m the owner and creator of K9Gadget – the online magazine for all things dog gadget and technology related.

My background is a BSc (Hons) Degree in Computer Science, and for over two decades I worked in the technology industry around cloud computing and internet of things (IoT). I’ve worked for large and small tech companies, as well as previously owning my own technology consultancy.

After I got married, my partner and I took up adopting dogs and working in doggy day care. This was a great way to learn about all types of dog breeds as well as teaching classes such as dog agility and puppy training (thanks to the great team who worked around us).

My home, in London, is filled with my dogs (Great Danes plus the odd temporary foster dogs) and all of their “stuff”, from dog beds to crates to toys. There’s not much room for us humans these days.

I set up K9Gadget to combine my technology knowledge with my love and experience of dogs.

All of the items I review on this site I’ve bought myself (unless otherwise stated) – this means I can experiment and give honest feedback for products I actually use every day.

If you like what I write (or don’t!) please let me know in the comment sections below the articles. You can also connect with me on my LinkedIn profile.
